I have a 1991 pontiac sunbird convertable, recently it developed a "almost start" situation. Let me give tou some background. The car has a new fuwl tank, sender, pump and filter. New plugs and wires. The car will crank, and starts and idles for about ten seconds and dies. I can spray carb clean in the T.B. And it continues to run, so seems to be a fuel delivery issue. Any ideas as to a probable cause with all the new parts, what am I missing? Thanks for any help.

I can spray carb clean in the T.B. And it continues to run-Does it continue to run or you have to be feeding it at all times for it to continue to run.

If the fuel pressure is correct-check the injector/s and get back with me.

Fuel prssuer between 41-45 psi. Dies as soon as I stop spraying the carb clean. What should I use to check the injectore, just a noid to veryify signal or is there a resistance across the injector I should be looking for. I ask because I had a firebird 350 car that the noid lit up, but injectors still didnt fire. Drove me crazy. Replaced them out of frustration. And it worked.

Your fuel pressure is okay-What liter engine is this? I need this to give the injector/s resistances-Could be the injector/s what your doing is bypassing the injector/s if the computer is energizing the injector/s-the injectors is not in the circuit

I had two bad injectors. #5 was reading 1.2 ohms
and #4 was reading 4.1 ohms. Two new injectors and it runs like a champ.
