Pontiac Vibe, 2003,70k miles, no leaks, auto,1.8l engine. We charged my wife's a/c unit and in 2 days the car was blowing warm air again, is there anything we should look for first, leak or something?

If it was low on 134A then you have a leak somewhere, or a leaking compressor.
Have an AC shop check it out and see if it will hold vaccum.
I would not run the AC with low freon, you could burn the compressor up.
