2004 Pontiac Montana Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I read that some vehicles you can change the sending unit from under the carpet inside the vehicle. Is there an easy way and how do I go about changing the fuel sending unit on my 2004 Monatana?

no access panel, must remove fuel tank to access fuel sending unit assembly.
