Unable to get the headphones to work. They were brand new in original packaging when we purchased the vehicle. They have new batteries, light comes on and I have followed the instructions to no avail. Can the infared not be working on the main control unit? OR?

just a thought, is there a component that needs to be plugged into the headphone jack like an infared transmitter? I know that if nothing is plugged in the headphone jack, then there is no way to keep the sound from coming from the rear speakers in my van.

There is a button on the headphones to switch between the video and the radio. That is about the only way to stop them from working.
