2001 Pontiac Montana coolant leak!

I had a trans shift kit installed on our 2001 montana.I know they dropped the trans plate to install...my question is,do they have to move,undo the lower rad hose to install this??

A shift kit is placed in the transmission which isn't near the lower rad hose.
