Hello, and thanks in advance--

When I go to back up my van out of the driveway, it moves in reverse then suddenly locks up and the car stops. I had the brakes replaced last month and had ceramic brakes put on the back, and ever since I did that, when I stop the car, the brakes are very noisy. Are the two problems related? Any ideas as to why the car will suddenly stop when backing up? It seems to be driving beautifully.

there is a very good chance they are related. When you stop in reverse, rear brakes will adjust if needed. sounds like a component is installed wrong. I would take it back to the shop that put on the brakes ASAP as this could be a safety issue.
If they did not do it before the brakes were replaced, then it is definately related.
