1999 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

hi i have a montana mini van and it was ran out of fuel while warming up this morning. i put fresh gas in and it still is not starting. i was woundering if this model cam equipped with a fuel saftey shut off switch or if we burnt out the fuel pump?

It doesn't come with a fuel safety switch.
check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump and fuel filter.
