1975 Pontiac Lemans not pumping fuel

I installed a new fuel pump thats been tested and is still not pumping. All my fuel lines are in shape. Im guessing its somethin to do with the motor where the pump connects

that has a cam bolted to teh end of the camshaft and that may have loosened up or worn out. You'l have to take the timing cover off to look or fix it.
