ecm.. will not clear codes.

Were working on a 93 grand prix. We had trouble clearing the codes so we purchanced a [u:2b7312d09d]new[/u:2b7312d09d] ecm and prom. The codes are... "still there" What the "sonofa"
Are these codes being stored somewere else?

This cars been in the shop for a week and were stumped!

Any ideas?...Anyone?... Please.

Other then discounecting the ground wire or pulling the ecm fuse is there any other way.

try disconnecting the battery for 15 min. You can unplug either the red or black wire aslong as you break the curict. that should reset everything.

It seems it was the snap-on scanner that was sending us on the wild goose chase. We borrowed a tech1 from the dealer and there were NO codes.
We tried 3 Snap -on scanners and they all gave us false codes.
