How to remove old rear rotor and install a new one?

Hi,

Replacing rear brake pads and rotors really isn't too hard. Also, if you purchase lifetime replacement parts, you'll never have to pay for them again. You can expect front brake pads to last approximately 30,000 miles. However, that will differ based on driving habits and terrain. First, here is a link that shows how it is done in general. You can use this as a guide. This video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same.

I cannot get the piston to push back into the caliper as I have always done in all of my past cars. In the past I have used a 6" C-Clamp to push it back in. Is there some kind of trick or something special I need to do with this car.

That caliper has the parking brake incorporated into and the piston threads back in. There are a number of different special tools to help do that Here are a couple examples with a video
