2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Speedometer reading wrong numbers

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Automatic

My girlfriend was driving my car this morning and she said that the sppeedometer was reading 70 MPH when she was only doing about 5. I am trying to figure out what is going on?

A bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or a short/open in the wiring to it.

Keep an eye on it, see if does it to you.
