went to engage cruise control last week, nada, nothing....fuse in compartment on r/h side of dash is o.k.

If all fuses are OK, are your brake lights working?

The brake switch will deactivate the cruise, and if bad the cruise will not work.

Start with checking brake switch, another possibility is the cruise switch is bad.
