Two days ago, noticed hesitation when drifting or starting to accelerate. Today I'm told transmission pump went bad due to thermometer not working. Could this be possible?

The front pump can go bad (very rarely) but I don't know what the thermometer is they are refering to. Does the vehicle still move? Without a pump, it won't.

Do you have any gears? Is the fluid clean and full?

I'm not sure what you mean by gears, but when after it did it while driving it sat for an hour, and I tried to move it. It went a half a block and then the same thing.

It has 65,000 miles and I've had the fluid changed twice, the last time was in June. It is full and still red although not completely.
