2004 Pontiac Grand Prix Radio Display

I have a single CD AM/FM radio (stock) that works but the display doesn't. The radio buttons are all working and the lights work on the buttons however the display shows nothing. I can't see the radio station or the time. What is the problem and how do i fix it?
