2004 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The car makes a noise when turning left or right and also does it upon excelleration. Could this be caused by a faulty power steering system.

If noise is a "clicking" sound then the problem is with CV axles.

Inspect CV boots for leaking grease, torn boots.

If not a clicking noise, describe noise.

Check PS pump fluid level, check pressure and return lines for leaks. Check steering rack ends for fluid leaks.
