Car is leaking like crazy. Need to add quarts of oil just to drive around town. Will this cost to much to fix with the high mileage it has on it? Is it something serious?

Yes, you have a hole in the pan, bad main seals, bad gasket (valve cover, oil pan).

Have it checked ASAP, that much oil could cause a fire.
