2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Automatic

the left side mirror has been knocked off (partially) its hanging by the cable that connects to the power adj. inside. how easy /hard is it to disconnect it and how would i go about doing so?? I just want to unplug it for now.

There should be an electrical connector, if not visable, you will have to remove interior door panel for access.
