My problem is having to replace the front wheel bearing assembly every 6 months to 1 year. What could be causing this? The shaft does not seem to be worn, am I putting them in wrong or what? This makes 4 or 5 times I had to replace both sides.

What brand are you using?

What do you torque the axle nut to?

Paul,
The brand we used this time was NTP and we torqued it at 180 FT #s, it does not seem to matter what brand it is, the very first one we changed was an AC delco brand which I do have to say it did last a little longer, but it also cost twice as much as the other brands.
And to anwer the other question, I have the same rims that came on the car size 16, and 225 60R tires.
Thanks so much for your input, maybe we can find a solution to this problem.

Replace the spindle. Get one from a junk yard for 50 bucks and your problem will be gone. Ive been there and its always the same, the spindle is distorted.
