My left side windshield wiper has gone haywire!
It doesn't move like its suppose to, if it moves it runs into the right wiper. If the left wiper gets past the right one it rotates all the way to the side mirror of my drivers side door and sticks there. I noticed at the base of the arm that there is a black cap on the right one(the one that works) and an exposed one on the left (one that is acting up). Is there a solution of a devient left wiper? Is the missing cap the problem?

What event precipitated the failure? How long has this been an issue? Have you checked the wiper arm mounting, is the fastener loose?
