2001 Pontiac Grand Prix stalls when you pull oil cap or egr

When I pull the egr valve or oil cap the motor will stall out and the service engine light will come on and stay on.

It would be normal for car to stall when EGR flows at idle.

Oil cap? When you remove oil cap the car stalls? Is that what you mean?
