When I'm driving down the road and my speedometer will just drop. I works for a little bit then running about 70 or so it just goes dead. All of the other gauges work fine. I just dont know how exactly that function works and what could be the possible suspects.

The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) located on trans is probably bad. Remove it and inspect it.
