2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 65000k miles

This is probably a very simple task but I've never done it before. My question is - can someone who isn't highly mechanically-oriented replace a brake light in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix? My right brake light has a lot of condensation in it, and as the MVI is imminent I want to have it replaced in case it's something that will fail the inspection. I want to get a used unit because buying a new one is way too costly. So I am left with replacing it myself.

Also, when I search the parts databases of different parts dealers, I usually get a few different years in the results. Are the brake lights interchangeable from model year to model year in the GP GT?

Thanks!

Cheapest way to do this is to go to local pick and pull and remove one yourself.

You will learn how to do it and save yourself a lot of money.
