2001 Pontiac Grand Prix key in steering column

2001 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX

1 in every 20 or 30 times the key get stuck in the ingnition and will not release the key. I restart car and move steering coulmn. after a few trys the keys releases. What could be the problem. and will it get worse with time?
