2001 Pontiac Grand Prix dont get heat

my heater hasent worked at all this year. i changed the thermostat still dosent heat could the waterpump be bad as i dont think the coolant is circulating could this be the problem?

If waterpump is bad, then car would overheat.

Most likely the heater core is blocked.

On hot engine, quickly touch upper and lower heater core hoses. If one is hot and other is cool, then core is blocked. Wear gloves when doing this.
