I have posted in another forum on this site, but no one had any ideas that worked so I'm hoping someone here can help. My car has been making a very loud humming sound for months. It starts quiet at low speeds and becomes deafening by 50mph. I don't believe it's the engine because I can put the car in neutral and it will make the sound while coasting. I have replaced both hub assemblies in the front and both axle/cv assemblies. The noise is very strange. I can't pinpoint where exactly it is in the front. When setting in the driver's seat, it sounds like it's coming from that side. While setting in the passenger seat, it sounds like it comes from that side. Also it souinds like it could be coming from the middle too! It hasn't caused any other issues other than the horrible noise that drowns out the radio. The last thing i did was rotate the tires out of desperation. Didn't fix it. Any one got any other ideas???
