For the last couple weeks my car sounds like it is powering down when I turn off the engine. Tonight i was driving home and my check engine light came on. The powerdown noise lasts for approx 4-5 seconds. The car still appears to be running fine, just the noise.

what u should do is to check it out where the noise came from and scan the engine codes .

Sounds like the noise is coming from fan at the front of the car

all i can guess is the engine running hot ? that why the cooling fan come on . fan blades may touched somethings ? or the fan motor itself .
