2000 Pontiac Grand Prix sloted rotor question

If I install sloted rotors on the front of my car in place of the standard oem rotors will they make any noticable sound . I would like to try the sloted rotors because I have been told they give better stoping performance even when wet. I just dont want any noticable noise. I have been told that sloted and drilled rotors make an oudible nois. Is this true and if so how noticable would it be. thank you in advance.

The slots route water out and to some extent keep the rotor cooler. I have never heard anything about increased noise. Check with vendor or manufacturer (most have tech call lines you can contact to evaluate any advantages/disadvantages).

Any particular reason you want slotted rotors?

If you want increased stopping power, use a twin/four piston caliper, which will increase stopping power significantly.
