When my engine temp rises to 210 the transmission will make a noise while driving, like a loud humming sound and will jerk when it kicks in. this mostly happens when sitting in traffic or going up hills. i know210 doesn't define overheating but my car has never done that before., when i shut off the car it smells hot. i have never had the tranny oe radiator flushed, never changed tranny filter either. most miles arer city miles.
