I have a problem with my ABS system. When I first start out and use my brakes for the first time the ABS brake system activates and you can here it pumping. After the ABS light comes on it quits and does not do it any more until after it sits for a while and I start out again. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to repair this problem?

More than likely you have a wheel speed sensor problem. You need to go and have the trouble codes scaned. That will will give you an idea of were to start checking things at. When the ABS light is on the ABS system is disabled and that is why is stops after the light comes on.
