I bought this car since new,anyways the torsionbar broke off where it connects to the link, could this be a defect, as i have never ever seen these brake in my lifetime ,is there been any call backs on the torsionbars for defects or any other reason that you know of.I look forward to your answer, thankyou greatly appreciated.

I do not see anything about torsion bar, there is a TSB concerning leaking shocks/struts.

While rare, torsion bars do fail.
