Transmission problem
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl All Wheel Drive 13300 miles

would a transmission code come up if u havent had a tune up for a long period of time

While possible that engine power is causing the code.

Don't assume it, and if trans is slipping, get it repaired ASAP, or you will be replacing the trans.
