1999 Pontiac Grand Prix transmission messed up

When driving my car, the transmission won't shift when the speedonmeter dont work. I changed the spped sensor and it didnt work, wont shift until the rpms are high. if shifting manually sometimes it works. Any suggestions???

Hi there,

Basic checks are oil level and condition, it should be a bright red colour, you can go get a scan done to check for any electrical issues with the transmission first.
