1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 78000 miles

The ignition key will not come out of the steering column. What can be done for this problem.

The park/lock cable is out of adjustment or broke, which prevents the key from being removed in anything other than park, Try moving the shifter a little back and forth and see if you can find a position that it will release.
