how do I remove the car battery?

We have a dead battery,and were able to get everything out,except the one side bolt that holds the battery in.We tried to loosen it but it will not move,any suggestions?

Hello,

It sounds like the hold down retainer bolt is seized on the battery tray.
Spray some penetrating oil on the bolt.
That should help loosen up the thread and will allow you to take it out with some force.
