1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1999 pontiac grand prix and the gas guage is not working properly. at first it would move up and down slowly, then i filled my tank and now it wont move from full tank.i drove around for a long time and it still wont move. what do i do?

HI there,

This will more than likely be a faulty sender unit in the fuel tank, a mechanic can quickly check this for you by shorting out the gauge wire to earth, if the gauge responds the sender is faulty.
