This gets a little more complicated and im looking for any guidence avaliable. Well I bought this car with the problem, but at the time everything was fine. Now My fan only works on 5, if I have it on 1-4 the headlights shutoff(while they are on with the light sensor day/night) I can manually turn them on. And still nothing happens with the fan. I have just started having problems with the Defrost not working as well. Have you ever heard of this problem? I have checkd fuses, and shook wiring around. The only idea I have is some 1 sliced into the wiring installing a radio, but this took a long time to act up if that was the case.

The wire could have missing insulation that is causing an intermittent short to ground and causing the problem.

Wrap the area where the splice was made with electrical tape. Start with that and see if it has any effect.

I did go through and insure no exposed wire was showing, and rewired the radio to insure none of those wires were exposed. Problem still exist. I have notice many being suggest to replace Resistor for the fan problem, what are the chances this could affect the headlights in this case? I did buy a resistor just to eliminate possibilites, but I have no clue where this goes, any suggestions where to look? The repair manual doesnt mention a thing.
