1999 Pontiac Grand Prix check engine light and change oil l

Hello I had just changed my harmonic balancer and the engine light still won't turn off. The change oil light won't turn off either, and I change my oil regularly. Do you have to reset the battery or the computer some how and if so how, I dont have an owners manual. Thank-You

For the oil light:
Turn the key from off to run position and press the accelerator 3 times within 5 seconds. The oil light should blink and reset.

The check engine light is a different story. This needs to have the codes in the computer read first and then troubleshot based on those codes.
