1999 Pontiac Grand Prix changed brake pads, and rotors and

I have a 1999 grand prix gt I just changed the brake pads all around and the rotors but on the back left one I had a lot of trouble I had to hit the rotor off with a jack hammer. Than under the rotor there is this horeshoe lookin thing it startin movin I looked at the other side it wasn't movin it was connected to these two little buttons. But this wasn't so I put it on the buttons and put the rotor on and pads and everything. But now when I drive there is a reallly!!!! Loud grinding noise comin from somewhere I have no idea tho. Ehhh plzz help

That horseshoe thing was the parking brake show and it sounds like it was stuck when you yanked the rotor off and it tore the show out of it's position. It's going to have to come apart again and repair the damage.
