Noises problem
1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 180000 miles

every time my car sits idle it starts to make a rattling noise it goes away as i press the accelerator i looked at where the noise was coming from and one of the rotating thing that the belt sits on

Take of the belt and check the Pulley for play, if it moves and feels loose or it doesnt turn freely or it makes noise then chances are the bearings are worn out on the pulley or it could be loose.
