Hi, I need detailed instructions on how to replace the rack and pinion on a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix please. Pictures would be appreciated, but not necessary. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi:
Replacing the rack and pinion is an involved process with many steps. For me to try to explain it via the Internet allows too much room for error.

Because of the steering being a safety issue, I strongly recommend getting a good repair manual with step by step instructions and pictures to help identify parts. They offer one on this site if you're interested.
