1998 Pontiac Grand Prix motor heats up

Everytime I put water in the radiator it flows into the motor. I don't have money to pay a mechanic I would like to fix it myself.

Can you describe your problem a little more; water is supposed to travel thru the engine to cool it down.
If you mean you have coolant reaching the combustion chamber, I would suspect a blown head gasket.
