Hello,
It sounds like it might have a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
When a crank sensor goes bad it can stall the engine whiteout any warning. And many times you won't be able to start it back up.
The heat and vibration from the engine can overtime cause the sensor to loose its calibration. When that happens it will send incorrect data to the ECM, and that can trigger a engine shut down.
The crank sensor is located next to the crank pulley at the bottom of the engine block. In order to replace the sensor you will have to remove the crankshaft pulley.
