I recently had my car stall on me while driving. When u would try to start it, it would turn over then die. I replaced the mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor and idle control sensor. The car worked fine for about a week but has begun to do the same thing again. Sometimes it will turn right over and stay running but other times u have to wait a few minutes before it will stay running. Sometimes it will run fine after that other times it will only make it a few blocks. Not sure what else to change or what else to check. In order to get it to stay on sometimes u have to keep your foot on the gas

Any applicable trouble codes? Take the throttle-body off and clean it, check the iac, idle air control. Use a gage and check fuel pressure.

Maybe your security system? Do you have passlock? If you have to hold the throttle open a little to get it to idle, sounds like the idle system?

I always check for codes, even if the lite isn't on, probably because that is the first thing listed on my scanner index. Does that lite ever come on? It should when you first turn the key on. Any sensor/s you suspect, you should check the wiring circuits, first.

I do not have a security system so I dont think its that. What should I check in the idle system? And how many rpms should my car be reading at idle because its believed to be low but dont know what its supposed to idle at. And no the check engine light never comes on. When it dies I only get a oil light and a battery light and I got an oil change just a week ago

I'd have to communicate with the pcm. If the mil/ses isn't operating, how do you know if there is a code or not? If nothing else, use an obd2 code reader, if you can't communicate, I'd want to know why?

If the scanner will show live engine data, it doesn't matter about the codes. I can't tell if your computer is alive? Because you said the ses lite doesn't work. Key on, no crank, do you have ref voltage at any sensor that uses ref voltage?

As far as no code diagnostics, the list of possibilities is as long as your arm. Listed below.
