1998 Pontiac Grand Prix Abs and trac light on

1998 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX
160,000 MILES • 6 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

I have a grand prix with approx 160,000 miles on it.....the abs and trac off light will come on and stay on sometimes.....others it wont...any known reasons for this?.....thanks so much!

this is usually caused by one of the wheel speed sensors intermittently dropping to 0 mph while vehicle is driving down the road.
