When I turn off my windshield wipers, they don't go down in the off position, they stand straight up. They work fine when I use them, just when they're off they stand straight up.

I don't think there is a simple answer for this one.

It could be a bad limit switch, or wiper motor, motor resistor, or wiper transmission.

It may be the wiper transmission, which is under the cowl, remove cowl and watch transmission as wipers operate.
