1997 Pontiac Grand Prix power steering

1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl

Hi, i have friend that has a 97 grand prix. The problem is it has no power steering. The problem started when his tensioner pully went out and the belt flew off and ruined some stuff so I think he bought a whole new power steering assembly because he needed a new reservoir too. Put that stuff on, filled it up and still nothing, and it has fluid. Any help would be much appreciated.

Try bleeding the system, remove return line, plug reservoir, crank engine (do not start) until fluid comes out return.
