I have a 1994 Pont, Grand prix my wife parked it the other day and would'nt start a few hours later. Rattling noise coming from the right side of engine charged battery, checked for spark, checked for gas, runs like crap. Plugged code reader in the port nothing just serice engine with battery symbol koeo. Service engine light goes out when started missing terribly. Timing chain jumped a tooth?Ecm malfunction?Crank position sensor?Any help would be appreciated guys Thanks mike.

If it runs at all. Not crank sensor, definately not timing chain. First most common thing is the plug wires will rot on the ignition coil towers. One at a time remove plug wires from the coil and I bet you will find some real messed up. Get back to me.

Guys I checked all the fuses and they were ok.I also
checed the coils they are firing but one has alittle corosion on it. I still can't get any codes from the computer check engine light steady and battery light on checked battery voltage its at 12.96v whats next?

Battery voltage at 12.96 running is not enough, it should be 14.2v. If running only 12 then you need to replace the alternator, and that could also be causing your noise in engine. Get back to us
