Heater problem
1994 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

needs to be above approx 1500 rpm, s to blow hot air doesnt over heat runs about 200 on temp gauge has 195000 miles in two months I lose aproxx quart of coolant

Welcome to the forum, at normal idle, are the heater hoses hot? Maybe the heater core needs to be flushed? The air flow volumn is close to the same, idle or off idle, just not hot? The water pump probably runs faster at higher idle, so the flow through the heater core is faster. Just a thought.
