does the oil pressure switch send a signal to the ecm to stop spark when the oil pressure is too low?

If the oil pressure is low the oil pressure switch will shut down the fuel pump not the ignition system-it has nothing to do with spark. Here's a diagram to see how the oil pressure switch works with the fuel pump.
