1992 Pontiac Grand Prix replace stereo

I was wondering how I could replace the stereo in my car, I know very little about it. I would like to put in a new one, with a c.D. Player but I dont know how to even start.

The Grand Prix is equipped with a remote radio receiver with the controls mounted in the instrument panel.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the cluster trim plate.
Remove the control retaining bolts, disconnect the electrical harness and remove the radio controls.

To install:

WARNING
When installing the radio controls, do not pinch the wires or a short circuit to ground may happen and damage the radio.

Connect the control electrical harness and tighten the control retaining bolts.
Install the cluster trim plate and reconnect the negative battery cable.

RADIO RECEIVER
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the right side sound insulator panel.
Remove the courtesy lamp and connector.
Remove the two receiver retaining bolts, disconnect the electrical harness and remove the receiver.

To install:

Connect the electrical harness, antenna cable and tighten the receiver retaining bolts.
Install the courtesy lamp and bolt.
Install the right side sound insulator panel and connect the negative battery cable.
